SPAM Sliders

These Spam sliders are a perfect mix of savory and sweet, featuring crispy Spam glazed with Teriyaki sauce, tangy pineapple, and a crunchy cabbage, all nestled between soft Hawaiian rolls served with a creamy mayo, these sliders are an irresistible snack for any occasion!

Ingredients

1 can SPAM

1 package of Hawaiian rolls or Filipino Pan de Leche

1 cup cabbage (shredded)

1 15oz can pineapple (sliced)

½ cup mayonnaise

½ cup teriyaki marinade (Learn how to make in the link below)

1 tbsp olive oil

Preparation
  1. Prepare the Spam: 
  • Slice the Spam into 12 even pieces. 
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of olive oil. 
  • Fry the Spam slices until golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side). 
  • Once cooked, pour ½ cup of teriyaki marinade over the Spam slices, tossing to coat evenly. Remove from heat and set aside. 

2. Cook the pineapple: 

  • Put the pineapple slices on a pan over medium heat. 
  • Cook on both sides until golden brown. 
  • Then add some of your teriyaki marinade on top as a glaze. Let cook for 1-3 more minutes. 

3. Prepare the Cabbage: 

  • Shred the cabbage in a bowl. 

4. Assemble the Sliders: 

  • Slice horizontally through the middle of each roll to separate top half from bottom half
  • Add your mayonnaise
  • Add the cabbage 
  • Add a slice of the teriyaki-glazed Spam 
  • Top with pineapple slices
  • Close the slider with the top half of the roll

5. Serve and Enjoy: 

  • Cut and arrange the sliders on a platter, and enjoy!
