Let’s Make 4th Avenue a Winning Solution for the Whole Region
Uwajimaya and a collaborative group of business owners, community leaders and residents in Chinatown – International District encourage Sound Transit to more thoroughly evaluate light rail station options before making a decision. We ask that Sound Transit involve the community to find solutions that minimize harm to the CID, south downtown residents, businesses and the broader community.
This is an equity issue. The CID is unique and important and has been disproportionally harmed by past infrastructure projects, but Sound Transit has the opportunity to do the right thing and land on a solution that serves the whole region.
