Wonton Soup
Ingredients
1 package Wonton wrappers
Filling:
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 cup prawns, chopped
1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon soy sauce
Soup:
6 cups of Wonton soup stock
2 cups of bok choy
chopped green onions
Preparation
In a large bowl, combine pork, prawns, water chesnuts, cornstarch, salt and soy sauce. Portion 1 teaspoon of the filling on the center of the wonton wrapper. Wet all edges of the wrapper and fold top corner down to bottom corner to create a triangle. Press edges together to seal. Take the left and right corners of the long side and bring together and seal. Should resemble a boat-like shape. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
Bring wonton soup stock to a boil. Add wontons and cook for 5 minutes or until cooked through. Add bok choy and cook an additional two minutes. Garnish with green onions.
Serves 4.
