Chili Oil
An oil infused with ground chili peppers
Chili Oil is made by infusing ground dried chili peppers with oil. Chili oil is spicy and is orange to red in color. Chili oil is used in Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisine and is particularly popular in Sichuan cuisine. Chili oil can be used as a dipping sauce or as a base for other sauces and dishes.
In Japan, chili oil is commonly used as a condiment for gyoza or ramen.
